August 30th, 2010

Ever thought of owning your own DJ business?

That actually seems like a pretty dumb question, otherwise you wouldn’t be here, right? But it was a nice attempt at an opening sales pitch.

Starting a dj business can be a great way to earn the income you want and to make the hours you desire. but how do you start a dj business? The DJ Business Blueprint answers that question. It’s packed with all sorts of information for getting your business going and keeping it running with minimal maintenance. Not to mention, it also shows you how to make over $1000  a night or more as a disc jockey!

What’s included in the DJ Business Blueprint? Here are just a few great sections:

  • Learn how to dj
  • Choosing the right equipment
  • Developing your dj personality
  • Promoting your dj business
  • How to dj a wedding
  • …and more!

You’ll also learn the business side of things with keeping track of your income and expenses and how to easily manage the administrative part of the job.  Let’s face it, if you want to start a dj business you’re going to have to do a little work behind the scenes for it to be successful.  But the DJ business blueprint gives you all the tools you need to make it as simple as possible.

Imagine working two nights a week and having the rest of the days off.  Imagine working two nights  and making your entire income for an entire month!  That’s 28 days off a month!  What on earth could you do with that free time?  Personally, I’d catch up on my reading or take a few short trips.  If I just work on the weekends I have the rest of the week to travel!

Starting a dj business can be easy, fun, and with a little effort very profitable.  It’s up to you how far you can go.

How to Start a DJ Business

February 18th, 2010

Welcome to howtostartadjbusiness.com!  Yes, it’s pretty apparent that you will find information here that will help you start a dj business.   It doesn’t matter how much of a beginner or  pro disc jockey you are, you should be able to get something out of what I’ve put together for this site.

I cover all aspects of the business including

  • how to book gigs
  • where to get your music
  • what equipment to use and how to get it cheap
  • how to market yourself
  • what to do for each performance
  • and more!

I’ll be honest, like any business, starting your own dj business will take a bit of work up front.  But once you get over that initial hump and get yourself established, you’ll be making money in no time.  Yes, you will need an initial investment of money.  Yes, you will need to be diligent and consistent with you work.  Yes, you must be willing to take risks.  But believe me, there’s no greater feeling than taking a risk and succeeding!  Of course there’s no worse feeling than taking a risk and failing, but once you do succeed it makes it that much better.

As you can see this site is still under construction, but soon enough you’ll be able to find plenty of resources for getting your act together to becoming a professional mobile disc jockey.

See you soon!

Joe
