How to Start a DJ Business

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

Welcome to howtostartadjbusiness.com!  Yes, it’s pretty apparent that you will find information here that will help you start a dj business.   It doesn’t matter how much of a beginner or  pro disc jockey you are, you should be able to get something out of what I’ve put together for this site.

I cover all aspects of the business including

  • how to book gigs
  • where to get your music
  • what equipment to use and how to get it cheap
  • how to market yourself
  • what to do for each performance
  • and more!

I’ll be honest, like any business, starting your own dj business will take a bit of work up front.  But once you get over that initial hump and get yourself established, you’ll be making money in no time.  Yes, you will need an initial investment of money.  Yes, you will need to be diligent and consistent with you work.  Yes, you must be willing to take risks.  But believe me, there’s no greater feeling than taking a risk and succeeding!  Of course there’s no worse feeling than taking a risk and failing, but once you do succeed it makes it that much better.

As you can see this site is still under construction, but soon enough you’ll be able to find plenty of resources for getting your act together to becoming a professional mobile disc jockey.

See you soon!

Joe
